I am a Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication and the Research Center for Computational Communication, Beijing Normal University. I serve as an Executive Committee Member of the Social Media Processing Professional Committee of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China, a Committee Member of the Complex Network Professional Committee of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and a Committee Member of the Social Computing and Social Intelligence Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
I have published more than 100 academic papers in leading journals such as Science, Nature Human Behaviour, PNAS, and Nature Communications. I have also authored the textbooks Computational Communication on Social Networks and Introduction to Computational Communication, as well as the monograph Network Null-Model Construction and Applications, which was supported by the National Science and Technology Academic Publishing Fund.
My research integrates network science with communication studies, focusing on social bots, computational communication, and social computing.
I have led industry-university-research initiatives such as the Alibaba Data Innovation Competition & Young Scholars Support Program, the CCF-Tencent "Rhino-Bird" Research Fund, and the Big-Model Interdisciplinary Fund of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS) jointly launched with Zhipu AI. I have been selected for a succession of talent programs: Dalian “Young Star of Science and Technology”, the "Innovative Talents Support Program for Higher Education Institutions" of Liaoning Province, the"Leading Talents" Program of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, the “Xing-Liao Talents Program” for top young researchers, and the “Hundred-Talent Level” of Liaoning Province's “Million-Ten Thousand-Hundred Talent Project”.

Research
My earlier work centred on network science; at present I devote myself to human–machine communication. The core of my current agenda is to dissect the mechanisms of interaction, collaboration and information diffusion between humans and intelligent machine systems, with the overarching goal of building an integrated framework for the detection, analysis and governance of next-generation cyber-troops. In parallel, my group is crafting novel theories and computational-grounded methodologies for heterogeneous human–machine networks, and validating them through large-scale empirical cases.
